I’ve been trying a few different types of Promise gluten-free breads, and I gave their Quinoa & Chia Loaf a try. Before my celiac diagnosis, I liked multigrain bread a lot and I would occasionally try a seed-type loaf like this from Cob’s Bread. Sadly Cob’s is off limits now!
This loaf comes in the standard Promise fragile plastic wrap, with the loaf sitting in a plastic tray. I am going to see if I can find out why they package it this way, as the wrap tends to tear and I end up putting the loaf in a plastic bag to keep it fresh.
The bread itself is quite tasty, with the seeds giving it an interesting texture and a nice little taste. Unfortunately the seeds get caught between your teeth at times, but that’s a hazard of any seeded bread.
I’d say this bread is the equal of a “glutinous” bread of the same kind. I prefer it over the Promise soft white bread, honestly.
If it wasn’t for the packaging, I would give it a 5/5 rating.
